" was successful French literature in 2007, the Italian edition, has had more than 300,000 copies sold!
The title comes from a phrase of the protagonist (Paloma) with respect to the concierge of her building, which apparently sees it as a "veritable fortress, protected by thorns" and suspect that in both simple and elegant as the rich.
is a book in which there are two protagonists, a concierge and a 12 year old girl who understood that in a world in which we realized more and more want to appear, they chose to remain unnoticed.
I chose this book because the story is contemporary, in fact, a person today, you could put herself in the thought of the protagonists, and as the second reason I chose it because it set in France.
